This little paradise is tucked away in the countryside of Brittany, between the medieval city of Dinan and the small city of Jugon-les-Lacs, and a short drive away from stunning Côte d’Émeraude (The Emerald coast) with beautiful sandy beaches.

An ancient manor, probably from the time of the templar knights, is the home to the property owners, and its comfortable gite welcome friends and holiday guests all year round.

The manor and houses are situated on the 18 hectares of the property, and allow guests walks under century old oaks along the lake of Beaulieu, in the fir plantations, and in the fields. In the beautiful grounds you'll find the hidden fresh water swimming hole, an old reconverted granite quarry, filled with ground water, or perhaps you will prefer relaxing in our ecological spa.

You will not worry about your children while on holiday here as the road ends at the property, and there is no danger from passing cars. Little ones will play near the gite in the sandpit or in paddling pools, swing, slide or work in the hut. Children will follow animal tracks or build their own hut in the woods. There is no danger from the pool, it's too far from the cottages and playground and the hot tub is equipped with a safety lid. 

On your arrival to this wonderful gite you will be greeted by the property owners, and settled into your gite, and given a tour of the grounds.

The gite has been welcoming guests since 1986, and was completely renovated in 2008 with ecologically sound materials, and since 2009 has been furnished with all the equipment required for two babies.

The gite comprises 2 floors, with a kitchen/dining room, 2 shower rooms, sauna and 1 bedroom on the ground floor, and the master bedroom with sitting room on the 2^nd floor. Adjacent to the gite is a very large covered veranda area with large stone BBQ, tables and chairs and children’s toys.

The fully equipped kitchen is furnished with a stove, oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, kettle, ironing board and iron. There is a dining room table with seating for 4 plus a baby’s highchair.

Leading off the kitchen/dining area is the 1^st of 2 shower rooms +WC.

Is situated on the 1^st floor and is furnished with a double bed, wardrobes and dressing table. There is also a sitting room with a sofa and television with integrated DVD player with French channels and mini stereo.

Is located on the ground floor and is furnished with 2 single beds plus cots x 2, wardrobe, games and mini library.

Leading from bedroom 2 is the 2^nd shower room with hydro-massage shower, washing machine and sauna.

There is a large playground located beside the gite where children can play safely, where you will find a hut filled with children’s toys, treasure hunting, and for the older children there is a woods nearby to explore and discover nature and observe animals.

•  A short walk from the gite and playground there is the fresh water pool where you can swim or fish.
  
• There is a large sauna and a hot tub to relax in while enjoying the views of the garden and woods. 

Enjoy long walks through the woods and pine forest, being sure to look out for the animals, especially butterflies, of which there are an abundance, which is why the estate is now an official reserve for butterflies.

The owners of this magnificent estate have loving restored the property in an environmental friendly way, with attention and detail given to:

• Energy management – with the installation of an environmentally friendly boiler for central heating, and solar panels for water heating. 
  
• Spa ecological – with energy conserving water heating.
  
• Rubbish recycling.
  
• Composting
  
• Ecologically friendly cleaning products.

1.      Special water economizing shower and tap fittings.

2.      the replacement of existing septic tanks (fosse septic) with the installation of a system of “Sanitation water by macrophytes”, utilising certain plants to aid in the sanitation of water.

3.      Also installed by the pool and sauna are 2 “dry toilets” (compost toilets).

4.      Natural fresh water pool – situated in an old quarry, measuring approximately 20 metres wide and 50 metres in length, with an average depth of 5 – 6 metres. The pool is cleaned naturally by plants and fish.               

• Sourcing of local and organic products.

Linen is included in the rental price.

Rental week commences from 4pm (16.00 hrs) Saturday to 10am (10.00hrs) the following Saturday.
The house is available on a Saturday change-over basis.

 A 30% non refundable booking deposit is required to secure the booking, with the balance due eight (8) weeks prior to arrival date.
