My husband and I, along with our 2.5 yr old daughter and a teenage guest from overseas stayed at the St Malo property for the entire week. For its location and the quality of the accommodation, you cannot find a better place - it's within the Wall city, 60 secs walk to the beach, beautiful view, bakery and grocery store is only 2-3 mins away. We even saw firework the last night we were there! RE: the property itself, you can tell the owner cares about the experience of her guests. Well-equipped and well maintained (well, it's a very new place!) and it's very tasteful. The beds are actually comfortable and plenty of pillows and towels available for us (pillows being used as the barrier for our 2.5 yr old daughter from falling off the bed, and it works great!) Decor is fantastic. They even have a computer there in case you want to do any last minute planning. We bought some beach toys and left them there because we're going back (now that we know this gem, we'll likely go back every year! They even offer detergents for both washer and the dish washer so you can keep your laundry and the towels clean and fresh (btw, this apartment even offers beach towels - it's so wonderful). And little thing like a grocery shopping bag - is also available. I feel like staying at my aunt's house when I was there. Oh, my daughter loves the entertainment from the seagulls. - as big as a chicken - hanging outside the windows. We would not stay anywhere else but this wonderful place. And last but not least, Wendy, the property manager/coordinator, is a sweetheart - the booking process was easy and she picked us up and dropped us off at the train station and followed up on everything to ensure we had a pleasant stay. Can't asked for a better experience!

Property B002: We stayed in this hoouse in August 2010 - it's amazing. A beautiful old town house in mediaeval Dinan, and right on the Rue de Jerzual, so in the heart of the town and a short walk from the old river port. We loved the old house, complete with original timber spiral staircase, but appreciated the modern kitchen and and other home comforts. The private courtyard to the rear was welcome, especially as the many tourists who past down the Rue de Jerzual can't help looking into the house through the windows! We felt like exhibits in a living museum but had no problem with it, as we would have done the same thing! It's a charming property in a beautiful old town and we'd recommend it to anyone.

Four of us (2 adults and 2 children) stayed in this apartment on our recent annual holiday to this area. We have come to know Dinan quite well over the years, but actually staying here was a new experience for us. Staying in this 2 storey apartment situated in the Port de Dinan was lovely. From the windows you get a wonderful vantage point over the river and the beautiful surroundings from where you can watch the water traffic come and go. The accommodation itself was very clean and comfortable and we found Wendy Sullivan very helpful. It was perfect for our 5 day stop-gap before we moved on elsewhere.

Then on to the greatest gem on the planet – Dinan and our wonderful gite. The gite is run by an Australian woman (Wendy Sullivan) who lives in Dinan and has eight properties for rent there. If you had to choose just one place in France to take a week or two out this is it. I have visited France 5 times and always love going back but this place is a gem. A delightful old mediaeval town surrounded by ramparts and we were right in the middle and just yards to walk to some first class restaurants and many to choose from with mussels a great speciality of the area. And a great place to venture out to the surrounding countryside and villages and visit places like St Malo and Mont St Michel. We will go back as we were so sad to leave and could easily have stayed another week. I told Wendy I would tell everyone about her gites – I would be happy to recommend her to anyone. She owns three gites in DInan and manages others on behalf of their owners. Have a look at her web sites: www.gitesindinan.com (these are Wendy’s places) and www.getawaybrittany.com which Wendy manages (ours was gite no. B003 on the gite tab). You could not have asked for better accommodation. And the photos on her site are no exaggeration – this is exactly was the town of Dinan is like.

I stayed here with my husband and children (two teenagers and two younger children) at the beginning of August and we were all delighted with the apartment. It is light and spacious, with cheerful furnishings and pictures. It is ideal for families, as not only is the beach just over the road, but there is a computer and DVD player for when the weather is cloudy. It is just a couple of minutes walk from some very good cafes and a handy supermarket, and is also a comfortable walking distance from the lively and bustling town square, which is particularly atmospheric in the evenings, with its candle-lit restaurants and street musicians. I would certainly recommend it to other families and we would definitely like to return to this apartment in the future.

Our family (Mum, Dad & 3 kids) stayed in this perfectly located Port de Dinan apartment/house at the beginning of July last year (2009). The apartment itself was cosy and comfortable with stunning views across the Rance river and along the street towards the main entry bridge into Dinan. I passed through Dinan in 1985 en velo (bicycle) and never forgot the charm and beauty of the place. Loads to see in Dinan itself of course (a short stroll from the apartment)and attractions such as beaches, other historic villages and cider farms not far away. Also, Mont Saint Michel(in the neighbouring Normandie Department) is a comfortable day trip from Dinan.
Great value for money and Wendy's prompt service was only ever a phone call away.
I actually think that the strip by the river at Port de Dinan is a more enchanting place to stay than in Dinan Village proper up on the hill behind. darren Bowers, Warrandyte, Australia

Property C0005.
We had a week in this lovely house at the end of July. The property was spotless, spacious, airy, bright and very well equipped. The beds were extremely comfortable as was the sitting room furniture, and the farmhouse kitchen table as well as a very large dining table was more than generous. Just about 5 mins from a choice of supermarkets and about 10 from Dinan, it was ideally situated to explore this side of Brittany. The garden was safe and sunny ideal for our three year old grandson with additional space for older children. wendy Sullivan proved herself to be the ideal agent, all enquiries were answered very promptly. All in all this was a very smooth holiday booking which more than lived up to our expectations..

In early May 2010 my wife and I spent a wonderful week in Dinan in property B002, a quaint half timbered house on Rue du Jerzual. The house was comfortable and well equipped and was within walking distance of all the sights. We had a car and spent the week touring all around Cotes d'Amor. Parking is a bit limited in this part of Dinan but Wendy Sullivan was very helpful in making suggestions regarding finding parking and other tips. We would highly recommend Wendy for your Brittany holiday and this house in particular for up to 4 people.

I stayed in the apartment with my two teenage daughters last week.It surpassed our expectations in terms of location, views, internal space, comfort and hi spec fittings and furniture. It`s close enough to be on the beach within a couple of minutes, and to have sea/beach views from each window was blissful! The wonderful St Malo town, with its shops, bars, restaurants (and even a late opening supermarket) was just moments away. It`s also a beautifully clean town; a place where people appear to take a lot of care over its appearance. We`ve rented lots of cottages, apartments, hotel apartments and villas over the years, and this rates among the very best, if not the best, in terms of the special extras...like superb, tasteful, (matching) soft furnishings (not always the case!!!) and all the home comforts you need. Our three night stay felt like a real treat and we would have no hesitation in recommending it highly. The whole booking and communication process through Wendy Sullivan was smooth, speedy, courteous and professional too.
