The house is beside one of the 13th century gates through the ramparts on the old cobbled, pedestrianised street, the Jerzual. The street is lined with 15th and 16th century houses and winds down from the town to the river port. There is a splendid view of the rampart walls and a guard tower across the large expanse of green sward at the back of the house. Property Features: The apartment has exposed beams and sloping ceilings. It is light, airy and quiet and recently refurbished in a comfortable, warm style. It is on the second floor. The large living room with dining area gets the morning sun. There is a small, well equipped kitchen, a bedroom and a bathroom with bath and hand held shower. The bedroom has either a double or two single beds. Equipment includes a television which receives some UK programmes, a video/DVD player, a radio/CD/tape/MP3 player, an electric cooker, a microwave oven and a washer/dryer. There are electric convector heaters for cooler times of the year. Free public parking nearby.
Around Dinan: the town is surrounded by beautiful walking country and traditional villages. There are wonderful, extensive sandy beaches and small bays on the “Emerald” coast (14 miles) and the “Pink Granite” coast. Interesting towns and sites such as Rennes, Dinard, St Malo, Mont St Michel and the renowned seafood areas of Cancale and Erquy are not far away.
Ferries and road: The nearest cross channel port is St Malo which is about 20 miles (Brittany Ferries and Condor Ferries.) Caen and Roscoff are about 2 hours by road; Cherbourg 2.5 hours; Le Havre 3 hours. All are motorway or dual carriageway roads most of the way. Free parking is available by the house. Air: Dinard airport (Ryanair) about 14 miles, Rennes airport (Flybe) about 42 miles. Rail: Train to Rennes and then bus (or rail). Dinan railway station is on the branch line from Dol but it has a very limited service. Please ask for other travel suggestions and detailed information.

Rental week commences from 4pm (16.00 hrs) Saturday to 10am (10.00hrs) the following Saturday. A 30% non refundable booking deposit is required to secure the booking, with the balance due eight (8) weeks prior to arrival date.
