"La Peitie Maison" is located in a traditional little French hamlet called La Basse Pesnais. This is located in northern Brittany in a department of France called Côtes d’Armor. La Basse Pesnais is situated 5 minutes from the medieval and picturesque harbour town of Dinan. This historic town boasts both its stunning cobbled streets and original 17th century wooden architecture and its idyllic waterfront on the river Rance.
The Cottage
This self catering gite is one of five cottages that makes up the hamlet of La Basse Pesnais. Our cottage has a beautiful west facing exterior with a traditional French design. It is also blessed with stunning views across the local fields out towards the countryside.
On entering you immediately encounter the main downstairs room of the cottage. There are a number of comfortable chairs for relaxing in when reading or watching the television. There is also a traditional French fireplace that contains a log burning stove that can be used to heat the cottage in periods of cold weather. There is a large dinning table that is positioned next to the open plan kitchenette.
The kitchenette is stocked with all the basic kitchen appliances including an oven, grill, microwave, fridge and washing machine; it is also fully equipped with pans, crockery and utensils. All rooms are decorated with traditional French decor to give you an authentic experience whilst relaxing in the cottage.
First floor:
The cottage will sleep 4 people, preferably 2 adults and 2 children. The main bedroom consists of a large double bed, a wardrobe and a chest of draws. The second bedroom consists of a pair of bunk beds, preferably for 2 young adults or children; there is also a small chest of draws. Both rooms are well illuminated and have sufficient space.
The bathroom with bath, toilet and wash basin is also situated on this floor.
